How much does TikTok LIVE pay? The short answer
To work out how much a TikTok LIVE pays, you need to separate what TikTok publishes from what it doesn't.
What TikTok doesn't publish: the value of a Diamond, in dollars or in euros. None of the official pages we consulted on 7 October 2026 gives a conversion rate, or a table of “so many Diamonds = so many dollars”. The figures circulating online aren't based on any rate published by TikTok, and they contradict each other.
What TikTok publishes: how the money flows, and what goes into the calculation.
- Your viewers buy Coins and send you Gifts during your LIVE.
- TikTok gives you Diamonds, which measure your popularity.
- In the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland and the UK, your LIVE reward is based on two things: your Diamonds collected and your rewards percentage. That percentage can reach 53% with Scaled LIVE Rewards, if they've been rolled out to your account.
- The reward is calculated in US dollars (USD), shown in your local currency, then paid into an account in your legal name.
No rate published by TikTok tells you what 1,000 Diamonds are worth. The number to go by is the estimate TikTok shows you on your LIVE rewards page.
Coins, Gifts, Diamonds: who buys what, and where to see your Diamonds
Coins: what the viewer buys
To send you a Gift, a viewer first buys Coins. You must be 18 (19 in South Korea) to buy Coins and send Gifts, and the number of Coins a Gift costs is shown below that Gift (Gifts and Coins, TikTok Help Center). The price of Coins is shown at the point of purchase.
Diamonds: what the creator receives
For TikTok, a Diamond is a virtual item it uses to recognise a creator's popularity, ranking and contribution. You collect them through Gifts received during your LIVEs, and sometimes through missions or campaigns (Diamonds, TikTok Help Center); the Creator Academy also mentions Star Comments (Scaled LIVE rewards, Creator Academy). A LIVE's total Diamonds appear in your LIVE summary when it ends.
To receive Gifts, you need to live in a country where they're available, be 18 (19 in South Korea), be eligible to go LIVE and have an account in good standing. Government, politician and political party accounts, like all other public interest accounts, can't collect Diamonds through LIVE Gifts (LIVE Gifts eligibility requirements). For the other requirements, read our guide to TikTok LIVE requirements.
Where to see your balance
In the app: Profile > Menu > Balance > LIVE rewards. The Balance page brings together the rewards from all your monetisation programmes. The LIVE rewards page shows your estimated LIVE rewards, and its “Weekly statements” total them week by week.
Diamonds aren't money
TikTok's Virtual Items Policy is clear: Diamonds don't automatically entitle you to a reward, and popularity measured in Diamonds is only one of the factors TikTok takes into account. Virtual items can't be exchanged for cash or passed between users (TikTok's Virtual Items Policy). What you actually get paid is a LIVE reward, calculated by TikTok.
Scaled LIVE Rewards: how TikTok calculates your rewards, up to 53%
With Scaled LIVE Rewards, your reward for the LIVEs you host is based on two things: your Diamonds collected, which reflect how popular your content is, and your rewards percentage, which reflects how your LIVE performs (official Scaled LIVE Rewards page for the EEA, Switzerland and the UK, checked on 7 October 2026).
This percentage used to top out at 50%; it can now reach 53%: up to 40% from Per-LIVE Missions, plus up to 13% from Weekly Missions.
Per-LIVE Missions: up to 40%
They're updated as soon as the LIVE ends.
| Per-LIVE Mission | Tier | Percentage |
|---|---|---|
| LIVE duration | under 5 minutes | 20% |
| LIVE duration | 5 minutes or more | 30% |
| LIVE duration | 10 minutes or more | 35% |
| LIVE duration | 25 minutes or more | 38% |
| New unique followers | 1 to 2 | 1% |
| New unique followers | 3 or more | 1.5% |
| New unique followers | 5 or more | 2% |
TikTok says it may adjust the missions that earn rewards, with advance notice: these tiers were recorded on 7 October 2026, so confirm the ones that apply to your account on your LIVE rewards page.
A new follower only counts if they weren't already following you, follow you from your LIVE room during the stream and are still following you when the LIVE ends; someone who follows and unfollows you several times only counts once. Content quality is the third component: a violation can partly or fully reduce a LIVE's rewards (see below).
Weekly Missions: up to 13%
They cover valid go LIVE days, engagement around your content (active members of your Fan Club, viewer engagement) and the Creator League. The week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59, in your account region's local time, and the reward is added the following Monday (Scaled LIVE rewards, Creator Academy).
- Valid go LIVE day: at least 25 minutes of LIVE in total in a day. A LIVE that spans several days only counts for the day it ends.
- Creator League: the mission that asks you to stay in your League is worth 1% and is only open to Leagues A1, A2 and A3. The Creator League mission is capped at 1,000 USD per week, which may stop some creators from reaching 13%.
- The rest: TikTok doesn't publish the percentage for each of the other weekly missions, and states that the parameters of the engagement mission vary by region.
For regular LIVEs that keep your audience hooked, read how to run an interactive gaming LIVE on TikTok.
Three things to know
- The new formula only applies to the LIVEs you host. As a guest in someone else's multi-guest LIVE, you stay on the previous formula for now.
- You may not have it yet. The global launch began on 4 August 2025, but a small share of creators, chosen at random in certain regions, are getting it on a delayed schedule, for testing purposes. If you aren't included yet, your rewards experience stays the same.
- An estimate isn't a payment. Until it's paid into your account, any amount displayed belongs to TikTok, and TikTok points out that “Being eligible for a reward doesn't mean you're entitled to it.”
How to withdraw money from TikTok LIVE: minimums, fees, PayPal and daily limit
The rules below apply in the EEA, Switzerland and the UK. TikTok says they're subject to change: we recorded them on 7 October 2026, so check them in the app before you withdraw.
Withdrawal minimums and fees, country by country
According to TikTok's official page on Reward Payment limits and transaction fees:
| Country | PayPal | Bank account | Payoneer |
|---|---|---|---|
| France | 1 USD minimum; 1.5% fee, capped at 20 USD | 4 USD minimum; 3 USD fee | 2 USD minimum; 2% fee, capped at 3 USD |
| Belgium | 1 USD minimum; 1.5%, capped at 20 USD | 5 USD minimum; 3 USD | Not in the table |
| Switzerland | 1 USD minimum; 1.5%, capped at 20 USD | Not in the table | Not in the table |
| Luxembourg | 1 USD minimum; 1.5%, capped at 20 USD | Not in the table | Not in the table |
| Germany | 1 USD minimum; 1.5%, capped at 20 USD | 9 USD minimum; 3 USD | 2 USD minimum; 2%, capped at 3 USD |
| Austria | 1 USD minimum; 1.5%, capped at 20 USD | 5 USD minimum; 3 USD | Not in the table |
Fees are deducted from each payment before it's sent. So fixed fees, like the 3 USD on a bank transfer, are charged on every withdrawal. TikTok itself suggests a way around this: on your Balance page, the “...” menu in the top right lets you raise your Minimum payout amount to save on fees (Getting your rewards from TikTok, Creator Academy).
The daily limit
You can request a payment as soon as your balance reaches the minimum for your payment method, up to a daily maximum of between 100 and 50,000 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency). That limit depends on the reward payments you received the previous month: the higher they were, the higher your limit this month. It's shown on your LIVE rewards page before you make your request.
Dollars, euros and an account in your name
According to TikTok's Rewards Policy for the EEA, Switzerland and the UK (July 2025):
- you must be 18 and live in the EEA, Switzerland or the UK;
- amounts are calculated in USD and shown in your local currency; converting into your currency may involve costs;
- payment is made into an account in your legal name, such as a bank account or a PayPal account;
- your right to receive a reward expires after 2 years from the date you become eligible for it, unless the specific programme says otherwise.
Withdrawing your TikTok LIVE money, step by step
- Open Profile > Menu > Balance.
- Add a payment method in your legal name (PayPal, bank account or Payoneer, depending on what the table offers for your country).
- Provide your tax information.
- Verify your identity: until these three steps are done, no payout date will appear.
- If you chose PayPal, complete the authentication on the PayPal side, or the payment may fail.
- Request your payment once your balance reaches the minimum for your payment method, within your daily limit.
The currency of the final payment depends on the payment method you choose (Getting your rewards from TikTok, Creator Academy).
When the money arrives
Each monetisation programme sets its own payout cycle, and you can't choose it. The pages we consulted don't give the cycle for LIVE rewards: upcoming payout dates appear in your Balance, programme by programme, once your payment method is set up and your balance is above the minimum. The “15th of the month” you'll often see quoted doesn't appear on any of the TikTok LIVE rewards pages we consulted.
Why a withdrawal fails
TikTok's Help Center gives four reasons (Why can't I withdraw my balance on TikTok?):
- you've reached the maximum number of withdrawals per day;
- your balance isn't high enough;
- you can't use payment methods in more than 2 countries;
- withdrawals aren't available in some regions.
The minimums and limits that apply are the ones shown when you withdraw: TikTok states that they may change at any time (Withdrawal Instructions).
What can reduce a LIVE reward, and how to appeal
The LIVE monetisation guidelines
A LIVE can follow the Community Guidelines and still be ineligible for monetisation. The LIVE monetisation guidelines are organised around safety, quality and integrity. Among other things, they allow TikTok to demonetise a pre-recorded or looping video presented as a LIVE, content that is largely passive or repetitive, and Gift baiting, such as “follow-for-follow” promises. In a multi-guest LIVE, the host is also accountable for what their guests share.
Depending on how serious and how frequent the violations are, TikTok can send a warning, temporarily restrict LIVE access or monetisation, or permanently restrict access to features such as LIVE Gifts, LIVE Match and time-based rankings. You can see the actions taken under Creator tools > LIVE Center > Rules and guidance > Restrictions, and you can appeal them from the notifications in your inbox.
Diamond reductions
If TikTok considers that your popularity was influenced by a breach of its rules, it can reduce your Diamonds proportionately (TikTok's Virtual Items Policy).
The content quality adjustment
Under Scaled LIVE Rewards, a violation can partly or fully reduce a LIVE's rewards. TikTok publishes several safeguards (Scaled LIVE rewards, Creator Academy):
- every deduction is reviewed by human moderators before it's applied; TikTok says it doesn't use automation to reduce a rewards percentage, and mass reporting doesn't lead to an automatic reduction;
- you can appeal during the LIVE or later, from the “Transaction details” page, within 180 days of the stream, with one appeal per LIVE, even if there were several deductions;
- if your appeal succeeds, the deducted amount is added back to your estimate.
Serious or repeated violations can lead to account suspension or the permanent loss of monetisation.
TikTok Diamonds to USD and Diamond converters: common claims vs what TikTok publishes
Pages offering a “TikTok Diamonds converter” or a table of “1,000 Diamonds = so many dollars” have one thing in common: none of them relies on a rate published by TikTok, and they don't even agree with each other. Here are the most widespread claims, set against what TikTok publishes.
| What circulates online, with no TikTok source | What TikTok publishes |
|---|---|
| “1 Diamond = $0.005” (or $0.01, or $0.05): unsourced | No conversion rate for a Diamond, in dollars or in euros |
| “TikTok takes 50% of your Gifts”: unsourced | 50%, then 53%, are caps on the rewards percentage, not a commission; TikTok publishes no cut that it keeps |
| “Minimum withdrawal $100”: unsourced | In the official table (EEA, Switzerland and UK): from 1 to 9 USD depending on the country and payment method (1 USD via PayPal in France), as of 7 October 2026 |
| “$1,000 maximum withdrawal per day” (or per week): unsourced | A daily maximum of 100 to 50,000 USD, depending on your payments the previous month; the 1,000 USD figure TikTok does publish is the weekly cap on the Creator League mission |
| “2 Coins = 1 Diamond”: unsourced | None of the official pages we consulted gives any ratio between Coins and Diamonds |
| “Withdraw from $10, paid on the 15th of the month” for LIVE: unsourced | These figures are quoted for the Creator Rewards Program, which pays for videos; for LIVE, the minimums are those in the official table, from 1 to 9 USD |
| “16 and 1,000 followers to receive Gifts”: unsourced | 18 (19 in South Korea) to receive Gifts; the 1,000 followers relate to going LIVE and can vary by region: see the age and follower requirements for going LIVE |
| “You can resell your Diamonds”: unsourced | Virtual items can't be exchanged for cash or passed between users |
Why none of these rates holds up: even if you know your Diamonds and your percentage, you're still missing the value of a Diamond in USD, which TikTok doesn't publish. And your percentage changes from one LIVE to the next, depending on duration, new followers, the week's missions and any deductions.
The European Scaled LIVE Rewards page shows example screens with Diamonds, percentages and amounts in USD. TikTok presents them for informational purposes only and points out that rewards remain at its sole discretion; and the screens don't all agree with one another. They aren't a pay scale, and no rate can be drawn from them.
To find out what your Diamonds are worth, don't rely on any converter: open your LIVE rewards page, where TikTok shows the estimate of your own rewards.
Outside Europe and taxes: what changes, and what's down to you
North Africa, French-speaking Africa, Canada: a different policy
The minimums, fees, daily limit and tier page quoted above apply to the EEA, Switzerland and the UK. If you live elsewhere, outside the United States, it's the “rest of the world” Rewards Policy, updated on 22 January 2026, that applies.
Its criteria are similar (Diamonds, LIVE duration, new followers, days gone LIVE, league or ranking, content quality), but it mentions viewer engagement where the European version talks about active members or subscribers.
The withdrawal minimums and fees for these countries aren't in the European table, and we didn't find them on any official page we consulted. Scaled LIVE Rewards is being rolled out globally, but mission parameters can vary by region. What counts is what the app shows you: your LIVE rewards page and your withdrawal screen.
Taxes: declaring your income is up to you
It's up to the creator to report their income: TikTok says so, and states that it doesn't give tax advice (Do I need to declare and pay taxes?, TikTok Help Center). The European Rewards Policy says the same: taxes related to the rewards you receive are your responsibility.
The rules depend on your country and your situation: check with your tax authority or a professional. At Streamline, the support the agency gives its creators on the legal side includes help with declaring their income.
TikTok LIVE agency: what it doesn't change about your rewards, and what it can bring you
This guide is written by an agency, which makes us an interested party: that's why every TikTok rule quoted here links to TikTok's own official pages.
What an agency doesn't change
Your LIVE rewards are calculated and paid by TikTok into an account in your legal name, and can't be transferred to anyone else. The official pages on Scaled LIVE Rewards don't mention agencies: nothing in them says that joining one changes your rewards percentage. An agency that promises you a “better rate” is relying on a rule TikTok doesn't publish. For the role of an agency in general, read what a TikTok LIVE agency is and what it does.
How the agency gets paid
In the model TikTok describes, the agency is paid by TikTok, through incentive programmes reserved for agencies, not by taking a cut of your rewards; TikTok doesn't publish the rates for these programmes. The details are in our guide to TikTok LIVE agency commission.
What an agency can change: your LIVEs
The criteria TikTok publishes are concrete: duration, new followers, how regularly you go LIVE, your audience's engagement and content quality.
For a gaming creator, TikTok LIVE also publishes a Gaming Ranking, which showcases the 99 most popular gaming creators of the moment in each region, ranked weekly by the Diamonds received over the previous 7 days, and helps viewers discover creators (Unlocking LIVE monetization, Creator Academy). It's a separate ranking from the Creator League, the weekly mission described above.
This is where Streamline Agency, a TikTok LIVE gaming agency that won awards from TikTok LIVE in 2025 and in 2026, focuses its work:
- interactive game concepts designed by the agency, where the audience acts in the game through Gifts and chat;
- Minecraft and FiveM servers hosted, maintained and updated by the agency;
- a dedicated manager reachable every day, plus coaching and feedback on LIVEs;
- support on the legal side, including help with declaring income.
None of these tools guarantees any amount: they help creators build LIVEs their audience wants to watch and take part in.
At Streamline, membership is free, with no commitment and 0% commission: creators keep 100% of their earnings, as Streamline takes nothing; TikTok's withdrawal fees and taxes stay the same as for any creator. The agency works with creators from the FR+ zone (France and French-speaking countries), Germany and Switzerland; to find out more, discover Streamline Agency and the regions it works with.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a TikTok LIVE pay?
It depends on the Diamonds you collect and on your rewards percentage, and TikTok publishes no amount per Diamond: no official source lets you put a figure on a LIVE in advance. In the EEA, Switzerland and the UK, with Scaled LIVE Rewards, your reward is based on your Diamonds collected and your rewards percentage, up to 53%; a LIVE of at least 25 minutes reaches the highest duration tier, 38% (tiers as of 7 October 2026). A LIVE's total Diamonds appear in your LIVE summary when it ends, and your estimated reward under Profile > Menu > Balance > LIVE rewards.
How much is 1 TikTok Diamond worth in USD or euros?
TikTok publishes no conversion rate for a Diamond, in euros or in dollars: the “$0.005” or “$0.01” you'll see quoted online don't match any rate published by TikTok. What TikTok does publish is what goes into the calculation: in the EEA, Switzerland and the UK, your Diamonds collected and your rewards percentage, up to 53%, with the reward calculated in USD. The estimate of your own rewards appears under Profile > Menu > Balance > LIVE rewards.
How much are 1,000 Diamonds worth on TikTok?
There's no TikTok-published rate that can tell you: TikTok doesn't publish the value of a Diamond. What 1,000, 5,000 or 10,000 Diamonds earn you also depends on your rewards percentage, which changes from one LIVE to the next (duration, new followers, the week's missions, any deductions) and can reach 53%. The amount that counts for you is the estimate shown on your LIVE rewards page.
How much is a Rose worth on TikTok LIVE?
TikTok shows below each Gift, such as the Rose, how many Coins it costs the viewer. But it publishes neither the value of a Diamond nor any ratio between Coins and Diamonds in the pages we consulted: so a Rose can't be converted into dollars or euros from official sources. To see what a LIVE earned you, look at the total Diamonds in your LIVE summary when it ends, then at the estimate in LIVE rewards.
What's the minimum to withdraw money from TikTok LIVE?
In France, according to the official table as of 7 October 2026: 1 USD via PayPal, 4 USD by bank transfer and 2 USD via Payoneer. In Belgium and Austria, 1 USD via PayPal or 5 USD by bank transfer; in Switzerland and Luxembourg, 1 USD via PayPal; in Germany, 1 USD via PayPal, 9 USD by bank transfer or 2 USD via Payoneer. These amounts may change: check them in the app before you withdraw.
How do I withdraw TikTok Gift money to PayPal?
From your Balance page (Profile > Menu > Balance), add PayPal as a payment method, with an account in your legal name, provide your tax information and verify your identity. Also complete the authentication on PayPal's side, otherwise the payment may fail. In France, the PayPal minimum is 1 USD, with a 1.5% fee capped at 20 USD (as of 7 October 2026).
How much does TikTok take from LIVE Gifts?
TikTok doesn't publish any cut that it keeps from Gifts. The 50% or 53% often quoted are caps on the rewards percentage, not a share TikTok keeps; and since TikTok doesn't publish the value of a Diamond, you can't work out what it keeps. Its withdrawal fees, on the other hand, are published (as of 7 October 2026, subject to change): in France, 1.5% via PayPal (capped at 20 USD), 3 USD by bank transfer, 2% via Payoneer (capped at 3 USD).
Do you have to pay tax on TikTok LIVE earnings?
TikTok leaves this to the creator: it says it's up to you to report your income and that it doesn't give tax advice, and its European Rewards Policy makes taxes related to rewards the creator's responsibility. The rules depend on your country: check with your tax authority or a professional. Streamline helps its creators with declaring their income.
